Description of processing involved: These files used to make these renderings were downloaded
from
http://www-dial.jpl.nasa.gov/~steven/hawaii/hawvp1.html. The texture maps (satellite imagery)
was converted from the PCX format required by Vistapro to 24-bit BMP required by SOPack. The
TIFF DEM file was resized to 513x513 and saved as an 8-bit BMP as required by Firmament. Be
aware that the texture map overlay does not have to be the same size as the DEM file, but they
should be coregistered with each other. Satellite imagery is a 20-meter resolution SPOT mosaic
converted from false color infrared to pseudo natural color. DEM data is a mosaic of 1:24,000
quadrants resampled to 20-meters. The DEM was further resampled to the size as required Terragen.
