The four left images used the Los Angeles - East 1:250,000 USGS quadrant image. The view of the left two images was created with the camera placement on the right hand edge of the image, (east) and pointed to the left edge, (west). The northern San Gabriel valley is in the left foreground, the San Gabriel Mountains to the right. The low hills in the center of the image are the San Rafael Hills and the Verdugo Mountains. Beyond the Verdugos lie the San Fernando Valley. The center two images have the camera placement on the left edge of the image (west) and is pointed to the right edge (east). The Simi Valley and San Fernando Valleys are on the right edge of the image. The Santa Clara River Valley lies in the left third of the image with the Santa Clarita Valley in the approximate center of the image. The two right images used the San Bernardino - West 1:250,000 USGS quadrant image. The camera was placed on the right hand edge (east) of the image and pointed toward the upper left (northwest). This rendered scene looks down the apex of the San Andres Fault. In the left foreground is the city of San Bernardino. The break in the mountains in the center of the image is the Cajon Pass. Victorville and the Mojave Desert lie in the right farground.
